Íàòàëüÿ Âèêòîðîâíà Ïåðôèëüåâà (ð. 25.10.1952) — ìîñêîâñêàÿ èëëþçèîíèñòêà, àâòîð è èñïîëíèòåëüíèöà íîìåðà ñ ïîÿâëÿþùèìèñÿ öâåòàìè, ðàáîòàåò â Ìîñêîíöåðòå. Ñòîÿëà ó èñòîêîâ ñîçäàíèÿ Ìîñêîâñêîãî êëóáà ôîêóñíèêîâ (÷ëåíñêèé áèëåò ¹ 9), âõîäèò â ñîñòàâ ïðåçèäèóìà Ðîññèéñêîé àññîöèàöèè èëëþçèîíèñòîâ.

The '181181' Club

Every time Natalya put her hands into her pockets for a split second, she took them out wearing gloves of a different colour: scarlet, yellow or green. Several handkerchiefs turned into a scarf in her hands, and four necklaces appeared where before there had been only two. Finally, she took a bunch of flowers out of a folded newspaper.

"March 8 is a very special date for me," Natalya Perfilyeva told me. "Not only because it's the Women's Day, but also because it was on that day, two years ago, that I first appeared before the public as a professional conjurer."

Circus and variety magicians rely both on illusion (which requires special equipment), and on manipulation, that is to say, sleight of hand. Natalya is a "manipulator".

"Do you have many colleagues in Moscow?" I asked her.

"Our '181181' Club has a membership of over 200 professionals and amateurs. Many of them are young people, students or schoolchildren. As for the intriguing 'code' name of our club, you can read it from left to right, or vice versa, you can even hold it up to a mirror, yet it will still remain unchanged: November 18, 1981, the day our club was born. In Moscow alone we appear in about 8,700 concerts each year, mostly before children.

"I first mastered the secrets of manipulation as an eager amateur attending classes at a House of Culture. A music teacher by profession (I specialized in accordion), and a music school graduate, I found myself captivated by the magic of conjuring."
